Tuesday & Thursday Colts Training Evenings

To ensure the safety of all our members we would very much appreciate your support in complying with the following:-

1.      Training sessions start at 6.30pm. Under 13s and younger train on Tuesdays, under 15s and 17s train on Thursdays. Colts should not arrive at the club before 6.25pm and parents should remain with their child until the coach announces the start of training. Registers will be taken to record all colts present.

2.      Parents should be at the club to collect their child at the end of training (8pm in April/May & 8.30pm in June/July) These end times will be kept to as far as possible, although there will be occasions when sessions over run particularly as the season progresses.  In the event of bad weather during a session please return to the club to collect your child.

3.      In the event of a colt needing to leave before the end of training, the team coach should be advised accordingly,

4.      Soft balls only may be played with before and after training, but these must be kept well away from the clubhouse.  Cricket bats may only be used during training when a colt is with a coach; they are not permitted at any other time. No hard balls are allowed either before or after training.

5.      All colts are expected to adhere to a proper dress code, white trousers, a white cricket or polo shirt, white/cricket sweater, white training shoes or cricket boots, club cap (either cricket or baseball version) if desired.  A cricket helmet must be worn when batting or wicket keeping with a hard cricket ball.

6.      Metal studs are not permitted in the cricket nets or in the clubhouse.

7.      In the event of wet weather on training nights a decision on whether outdoor training will take place or not will be made at 5pm.  Please contact Chris Knight on 01707 888633/07944 882572 for confirmation after this time.   On wet evenings the club will endeavour to provide some indoor events to occupy the colts.

Please note the safety of all our colts is paramount and persistent failure to abide by the above measures may result in a player being asked to leave the club.
