Friendly V Edmonton at the Walk

On a sunny Sunday morning at the Walk Luke McGee Potters Bar U'9 captain won the toss and decided to allow the Edmonton team to bat first. Bar's bowling was excellent with Luke McGee (2 wkts), James Ilott (3 wkts), Harrison Palmer (1wkt), Freddie Scutt (2 wkts) and Tim Richards (1 wkts) all bowling well and all taking their share of the wickets. The fielding backed the bowlers well with Luke taking a diving catch and some excellent stops by William Metsalaar and Andrew Bays. Edmonton finished their allotted 20 overs with a score of 85.

The PB batsmen made light work of the total with the help of some wayward bowling which accelerated the speed of victory of just 13 overs. Bar lost only 3 wks in the chase, with poor Nick Taylor being the most unfortunate run out by Tom by over half the length of the pitch. (Nick is still talking to Tom when I saw them on Tuesday at training) Luke (7no)and Harrision (9no) provided the main batting effort with Callum, Jake, Freddie, Andrew and Tom chipping in with the additional runs.

Action from the game and some happy participants.

We have a return fixture with Edmonton in a few weeks time.
