I have been at Potters Bar cricket club since 1974 and during that time I have seen the club prosper from division 1 of the Herts League upwards to the heady heights of the Home Counties Premier Division. Last year really was the pinnacle for me and I am extremely proud of the members who have worked so hard throughout the years to give us the opportunity to play in the highest standard possible. Although unfortunately we only had the one year in the division I am sure we will return in the near future after our initial experience of top class cricket. Cricket has been a huge part of my life and as an ex player I am grateful to our wonderful game as it has enabled me to make so many good friends around the county and beyond. May I wish our club and cricket lovers in general all best wishes for next season.
Presidents Day 2004 In my first year as President my invited team defeated Potters Bar in a tense finish in a match that was a credit to both sides. Scores were as follows Potters Bar 200 all out Presidents X1 201 for 9. In the last over of the match the result as you can see could of gone either way but fortunately for me my team managed to scrape home in a thrilling finale. My thanks to everyone who took part for a great days entertainment.
